Prayer Resources

We have a variety of books and online resources for use in private prayer and public worship. As a Celtic Christian fellowship firmly rooted in Cornwall and its culture, we seek to accommodate those who would like to worship in Cornwall’s ancient Celtic language, a language which is experiencing a strong revival and which now enjoys official status.

To this end, we usually use some prayers in the Cornish language whenever we meet, but they are always said in English too. In this way no one need feel excluded.

Please note: we do not support any particular Cornish language spelling system over and above any other.

Our bilingual prayer book Lyver Pejadow rag Kenyver Jorna/Cornish Daily Prayer can be purchased via our bookshop as can a CD to aid pronunciation of the Cornish used in it.

You may also want to make use of our Prayers of Creation.

Perhaps you will want to say our Pejadow Nos Kernowek/Cornish Night Prayer. You can download this in English.  Simply print it out, fold it over, laminate it, and you have a handy prayer card to pop into your Bible! N.B. It may take a moment or two to download. The Collect of St Piran

Almighty God, the light of the faithful and shepherd of souls, who brought your servant Piran to Cornwall’s shores to feed your sheep by his word and guide them by his example; help us to keep the faith which he taught and to follow in his footsteps; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
